Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University is proud to announce its recognition as a 2025-2026 College of Distinction, a prestigious honor that highlights its unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional undergraduate education. The award reflects AU’s dedication to fostering hands-on learning, strong student-faculty relationships, an active campus community, and stellar student outcomes.

In addition, AU also earned College of Distinction recognition for the following classifications:

  • Indiana
  • Christian
  • Business
  • Education
  • Nursing
  • Career development
  • International

“Being recognized as a College of Distinction affirms our commitment to a Christ-centered education,” said Anderson University President Scott Moats. “This recognition reflects our desire to offer a meaningful, relevant education that stands out in today’s dynamic higher education environment. It motivates us to stay true to our calling—preparing students to lead lives rooted in faith and dedicated to service in both the church and the broader world.”

Since its founding in 2000, Colleges of Distinction has awarded schools for their successful implementation of high-impact educational practices and hands-on learning. Unlike traditional ranking systems based on numerical data, its rigorous selection process involves extensive research and detailed interviews with the institutions, accepting only those that adhere to the four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community, and successful outcomes.

AU has demonstrated exceptional performance in each of these areas, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment that equips students for future academic and career success.

“Anderson University has crafted a campus culture where students are empowered to take ownership of their learning,” said Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer at Colleges of Distinction. “Its programs reflect the kind of innovation and intentionality that prepare students for life after graduation.”
